Man City still want van Persie. N’Zonzi, Javi Martinez and Bas Dost linked

Manchester City are still very much after Arsenal captain Robin van Persie. According to Daily Mirror they are preparing a £20 million bid to tempt the Dutchman to Eastlands.

Same newspaper reports that van Persie has told Arsenal that he will not be signing a contract extension no matter how much money is offered and is adamant to leave.

Previously it was reported that Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala are also after him and are willing to offer him £300,000 a week. However van Persie is not interested in playing in Russia.

Meanwhile, Blackburn’s Steven N’Zonzi has been linked with the club along with Holland under-21 striker Bas Dost.

Bas Dost plays for Dutch side SC Heerenveen, where he scored 32 goals in 34 games last season.

Arsenal have been linked with Valencia midfielder Javi Martinez for sometime now and he is widely expected to leave his current club this summer. He is an exciting player and can be an alternative if Arsenal fail in their attempt to sign Yann M’Vila.
