FULL Arsenal 2012/13 Premier League Fixtures List

The Premier League fixture list was announced today for the 2012/13 season.

Arsenal play their first game at home against Sunderland on 18th August. Next game will be Stoke City away on 25th August.

The last game of the 2012/13 season will be on 19th May against Newcastle.

Yann M’Vila admits he would like to play for Arsenal.

Arsenal have been monitoring the highly rated Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila and the midfielder has himself admitted that he is aware of the interest from Arsenal and would like to play for Arsene Wenger’s side in the Premier League.

M’Vila was talking to media ahead of France’ final Euros group game, he said:

“I have heard Arsenal have an interest in me. I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League.

“I don’t know what is happening between the two clubs but I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal.”

This makes it clear that the player himself would like to play for Arsenal, it is upto Arsenal and Wenger to make their move and sign the talented midfield enforcer. As it was previously reported that several top European clubs have entered the chase to sign the 21-year old France international, including the likes of Barcelona, so Arsenal must act fast in order to have any chance of signing the player

M’Vila has made up his mind about leaving the French club after he admitted it is the right time to leave the club.


Arsenal lead chase to sign Real Madrid striker.


According to reports coming from several sources Arsenal are leading the chase to sign highly rated Real Madrid forward Joselu.

The forward who scored 22 goals for Real Madrid B team last season, has been linked with several premier league clubs, including West Ham and Reading, and the player himself has reiterated his desire to play in the Premier League.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid have slapped at £10 million price tag on the young striker as they are keen to keep the player to provide cover for their first team forwards and Mourinho rates the player highly.

Joselu has only made two appearances for the Real Madrid first team coming on as a substitute and scoring both times.


Barcelona enter M’Vila chase, as Arsenal face stiff competition for their target.

Arsenal have been following Rennes midfield enforcer, Yann M’Vila and according to reports, Barcelona have also entered the chase to sign the midfielder.

According to the reports in respected French newspaper Ouest France, Barcelona sent scounts to watch the Rennes player last season and they are now serious about signing the player.

Arsenal had a bid rejected for the midfielder last summer, but now it seems the midfielder is will be leaving the club after he made clear himself that he does not want to stay at Rennes next season. M’Vila previously stated that he will decide his future after the Euros

The highly rated France international missed the first game of Euro through injury and was brought on as a second half substitute in the game against Ukraine.


Robin van Persie might not start, after winning yet another trophy.

Arsenal captain, Robin van Persie has won yet another award by being voted PFA fans’ player of the year. Having already picked up PFA Player’s players of the year and Writer’s player of the year, van Persie bagged his third award after having scored 37 goals in 48 appearances for Arsenal.

Dutch striker who has been linked with a move away from Arsenal, was praised by PFA chief Gordon Taylor, who said:

“Robin had an exceptional season and has established himself in the mould of previous top quality Dutch strikers such as Dennis Bergkamp, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Marco van Basten. He’s very much in demand and Arsenal fans will be worrying whether Arsenal can get him to stay or whether he will move on to the likes of Manchester City.

“Many of his goals were the best of not just this season, but any season when you think of the quality of some of his volleys. He really has been a talisman for Arsenal and as captain has lifted them into qualifying for the Champions League again when all looked lost.”

The 28-year old striker who has started both games for Holland at the Euros, might not start against Portugal in their final group game on Sunday, after Holland coach, Bert van Marwijk conceded that he will need to make some changes to the team upfront. Talking to Holland’s official website he said:

“Normally we have a lot of creativity and we are fast at the front, but against Denmark and Germany it was not there. But this happens in football. We lost two games, so I have to change my squad for match against Portugal.”

The Arsenal man who scored in Holland’s 2-1 defeat to Germany, has missed a couple of chances in the two games so far and Huntelaar is expected to start ahead of him as Holland hope to avoid humiliating exit from Euros.


[VIDEO] Walcott displays match winning performance.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott impressed after coming on as a substitute for England in their 3-2 win over Sweden. The winger came off the bench and scored a stunning goal and later setup Welbeck for the winner.

The defeat knocked Sweden out of the European Championship. Walcott replaced James Milner in 61st minute and banged in the goal from 25-yards after a Steven Gerrard corner was poorly cleared by Sweden. The ball fell on the edge of the penalty box which was met by Walcott, who struck a powerful volley to scored England’s second.

The Arsenal man later setup the third goal for England by making a darting run through Swedish defense and providing an assist to Danny Welbeck whose finish was enough to secure the win for England.

Latest on Arsenal target Dzagoev.

As reported earlier, Arsenal are tracking CSKA Moscow midfielder Alan Dzagoev who has been in sensational form for his country at the Euros. The player has put his future on hold by admitting he is only concentrating on the Euros.

Russian midfielder who has scored three goals so far in the tournament was talking to media before Russia’s final group game against Greece, he said:

“Of course, I have the desire to try myself in other clubs in Europe. But I’ll think about it only after the tournament. Now I’m doing my own job here.”

Dzagoev is expected to leave his current club this summer as he only has six months left on his current contract at CSKA Moscow. The player also admitted he isn’t fully happy with his performance by adding:

“I don’t think that I’ve played two good games. Yes, I scored in the second game, but it wasn’t as good as the first game. I lost a lot of balls.”
