Latest on van Persie, Hoilett, Vertonghen and Powell

Arsenal captain, Robin van Persie has been linked with a move away from the club, with several top European teams after his signature.

Italian champions, Juventus have also shown an interest in signing the Dutch striker. With the well respected Italian newspaper, Tuttosport running a story on their front page according to which Arsenal have slapped a €30 million price tag on the star stiker.

It seems unlikely that Arsenal would want to sell their captain to another Premier League club so a move to Juventus looks possible.

Arsenal are also actively looking to add to their strike force with reports claiming Arsenal are interested in CSKA Moscow striker, Seydou Doumbia.

Another Arsenal target, Jan Vertonghen who had been expected to sign for Sp*rs, his deal has not been completed yet according to Sp*rs manager Harry Rednapp, so maybe there is still a chance that Arsenal can move for him. However it seems unlikely as Arsenal will not be able to guarantee him first team football.

Arsenal look set to miss out on another target, Junior Hoilett who is expected to sign for German club Borussia Mönchengladbach. Hoilett whose contract at Blackburn finishes this summer was expected to leave on a free transfer after impressing last season. Mönchengladbach, who finished 4th last season expect to sign the forward within a few days for a ‘training fee’ of around £500,000.

Meanwhile Daily Mail reports Arsenal are keen to sign Crewe’s highly rated striker, Nick Powell. Powell is rated at £10 million and helped his club to gain promotion to League One.
