Latest on Giroud, Hazard, Vertonghen and M’Vila

The summer transfer window is not even officially open yet and already, Arsenal is being linked with players from all over Europe.

Here is the latest on some of the Arsenal transfer targets:

Jan Vertonghen: He has been linked with Arsenal for several years now and it seems he will finally be leaving Dutch Eredivisie for the English Premier League. However it looks very much likely that he will move to Sp*rs after he himself said:

“I’ve said repeatedly that Tottenham are my first choice, but the talks haven’t progressed. They have shown me around, I have met all their key people and their chairman came to meet me on Monday”.

However he did mention that Arsenal are also after him. So let us hope that if deal with Sp*rs doesn’t go through we make a move for him.

Oliver Giroud: Rumours of a swap deal involving Chamakh for Giroud gathered pace yesterday. Today The Telegraph is reporting that Arsenal have enquired about his availability. It is still abit early to say whether Arsenal are genuinely after him.

Eden Hazard: Arsenal moving for Hazard seems highly unlikely, considering his wage demands. Wenger is a known admirer of the Belgian but I believe we won’t be able to match the wages or tranfer fee on offer from City or Chelsea. He has been in impressive form this past season, scoring 20 goals and getting 16 assists.

Yann M’Vila: There haven’t been any new updates regarding M’Vila. If was being reported that Arsenal have backed out of a move for him as his club is holding out for a fee of £17 million. It is a bit early to comment on his situation. I don’t think there will be anything concrete until after Euros.
